Jamal Musiala likely to miss Bayern Munich’s game vs Bochum

Speaking in a press conference on Friday, Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Jamal Musiala (19) is likely to miss Sunday’s Bundesliga game against Bochum.

“Right now, it’s looking likely that Jamal Musiala will not play due to a hip flexor strain,” said Nagelsmann. “It’s nothing serious and he’s already doing better. We just need to treat it cautiously so that nothing happens.”

Nagelsmann further added: “I would like to take him with us, but it has to make sense. If it was the Champions League final then he would certainly be able to play because after that there aren’t any games, but we have to be careful.”

Musiala has scored four goals in three games for Bayern this season.

Although Serge Gnabry returned to training, Nagelsmann confirms that the 27-year-old has a wrist injury plus adductor problems but that there’s a chance that he could still feature. Matthijs de Ligt also has a hand injury whilst Nagelsmann expects two or three changes to the starting XI.
