Borussia Dortmund confirm that 23-year-old forward Steffen Tigges has suffered an ankle fracture and is expected be out for the remainder of the season with it requiring an operation.
That leaves Marco Rose and BVB with few attacking options. Youssoufa Moukoko is also out whilst Erling Haaland has just returned to training and is working his way back. The Norwegian could return against Arminia Bielefeld but after seven weeks out, it’s impossible to predict how he’ll cope.
Marco Reus was also unable to partake in training on Wednesday and Thursday for an unknown reason, as reported by Ruhr Nachrichten. No Bundesliga club has had to deal with more injuries than Borussia Dortmund this season.
