Harry Kane is still an option for Bayern Munich

Speaking to Sky GermanyOliver Kahn has not completely shut down the rumours regarding Harry Kane joining Bayern Munich.

During his interview, Kahn discussed Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane: “He is a very good player, but there are also other good players.” One option given is Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who currently leads the line for Bayern, but his contract runs out at the end of the season. It is known that Bayern would like to extend the contract of the Cameroon international but other clubs are still interested.

Kane is one of many options for Bayern but Kahn does not go into detail of those: “We deal with many players. It’s not okay to talk about players who are under contract with other clubs.”

Kane’s contract expires in the summer of 2024 and if he decides to not extend at Tottenham Hotspur, a change is likely this summer, otherwise, they risk losing the England international on a free.

One player Kahn did rule out is Cristiano Ronaldo. Kahn confirmed that he can “exclude” this as the 37-year-old does not fit Bayern Munich’s philosophy. Ronaldo is now a free agent after having his contract at Manchester United mutually terminated.
