Hansi Flick unveils Germany World Cup squad

Hansi Flick today announced his 26-man squad for the World Cup. Amongst the names was Eintracht Frankfurt’s Mario Götze, who made the squad for the first time since November 2017.

Noticeable absentees are Timo Werner and Lukas Nmecha who are both injured and Mats Hummels, who has been in excellent form for Borussia Dortmund. Also omitted from the squad is BVB’s Marco Reus, who has been unable to prove his fitness following an ankle injury.
