Gregor Kobel and Axel Witsel added to Borussia Dortmund’s injury list ahead of their match against Bayern Munich

Speaking during a press conference, Borussia Dortmund head coach Marco Rose confirmed that Gregor Kobel and Axel Witsel will miss this weekend’s match against Bayern Munich.

BVB were already struggling in terms of fit squad members with Mats Hummels, Donyell Malen, Thomas Meunier, Thorgan Hazard, Mahmoud Dahoud, Giovanni Reyna and Steffen Tigges all still out.

The Dortmund coach regrettably informed the press that Kobel is out for a few weeks with a ligament injury while Witsel sits out due to illness.

If Dortmund lose to Bayern on the weekend, the Bavarians will claim their 10th successive Meisterschaft.

Nevertheless, Rose is still determined to spoil Bayern’s party. The BVB head coach said: “We want to try to prevent that. That’s the task, that’s the goal.”

Dortmund have lost their last seven competitive games against Bayern.
