Last weekend Hoffenheim dropped out of the European places after drawing 0-0 with Greuther Fürth.
Sebastian Hoeneß’s side are now five games without a win in the Bundesliga and currently sit 8th, two points behind Union Berlin in 6th.
Speaking during a press conference, Hoeneß admitted that: “The mood has shifted” following last weekend’s goalless draw at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
When his team got back together for training on Tuesday Hoeneß said he felt a difference in the squad. The coach explained: “There was no euphoria, but a certain aggressiveness. We are hunters now.“
Hoeneß, who was only managing in the 3. Liga in 2020, ended his statement by saying: “The season is not over. Of course we would have liked to have worked out a different starting point. But we accept the situation and the role of hunter.“
In their next Bundesliga match, Hoffenheim travel to Eintracht Frankfurt.
