Bundesliga side FC Köln have confirmed that head coach Steffen Baumgart has tested positive for Covid-19.
The 50-year-old tested positive on Wednesday morning after feeling unwell: “I didn’t feel great this morning and did a rapid test at home. It turned out positive,” said Baumgart.
Baumgart is in quarantine and has since done a PCR test. Should this return a positive result, André Pawlak will take charge of Köln’s game against Freiburg on Saturday.
