Borussia Dortmund Legends are travelling for the first time for a game to Ghana in June 2022

Borussia Dortmund legends team are travelling to Ghana to play an exhibition match against ‘Shooting Stars FC’.

BVB’s opponents will be an African legends team including Asamoah Gyan, Abedi Ayew Pele, Stephen Appiah, Ibrahim Tanko and Jay-Jay Okocha.

The match, which is supported by ‘Die Schwarz-Gelben’s shirt sponsor of many years, specialist chemical company Evonik, is expected to generate a large audience, and will be played on June 11 at the Accra Sports stadium.

Borussia Dortmund’s talent coach, the former midfielder, Otto Addo is the new Ghana head coach that led the ‘Black Stars’ in recent weeks to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022′.

The ‘Black and Yellows’ have three exhibition teams that play friendly matches and tournaments across Germany: ‘Die Traditionsmannschaft’, ‘Die Alte Herren’ and ‘Die Legenden’.

The first ever match abroad of the Borussia Dortmund ‘Traditionsmannschaft’ legends team was played against a combined UK Borussia Dortmund fan team at the world’s oldest football club, which was founded in 1857, Sheffield FC in 2018.
