Borussia Dortmund expect clarity on Erling Haaland future next week

Speaking on Sport1-Doppelpass, incoming Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl expects the future of Erling Haaland to be decided shortly.

“I assume that we will have clarity next week,” said Kehl. Following the death of Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, negotiations had taken a back seat but are now picking up speed again.

According to Kicker, Premier League side Manchester City are the favourites to land the Norway international, who has scored 21 goals in 23 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund this season.

It was reported last month that the total package to sign Haaland would be around €350m, with Borussia Dortmund targeting Stade de Reims striker Hugo Ekitike as a replacement.

Manchester City are currently offering the better overall package and are likely to go head-to-head with Real Madrid for Haaland’s signature, should he leave the Westfalenstadion in the summer.
