Bayern Munich’s Joshua Zirkzee an option to replace Saša Kalajdžić at Stuttgart

Bayern Munich forward Joshua Zirkzee is Stuttgart’s favourite to replace Saša Kalajdžić should the Austrian forward leave the Bundesliga club, according to Sky Germany.

Should Zirkzee (21) leave Bayern Munich this summer, the Bundesliga champions would demand around €20m for the Dutchman. Per the report, a phone call between the two clubs took place yesterday but at the moment, there is no agreement between any parties.

As reported last month, Zirkzee has interest from the Premier League and Bayern would allow the Dutchman to leave with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting expecting to remain at the club.

Zirkzee spent last season on loan at Anderlecht, where he scored 18 and created 13 in 47 games across all competitions for the Belgian side. Prior to that, the Dutch forward spent six months on loan at Parma, and has also struggled to break into the Bayern squad, playing just 413 minutes.

Speaking after Stuttgart’s 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig, Kalajdžić stated that he would like clarity on his future with just one-year remaining on his deal at VfB.
