Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen today confirm that defender Jeremie Frimpong is out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ligament in his right ankle in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat against FC Köln.
This comes just 48 hours after B04 also confirmed that 18-year-old midfielder Florian Wirtz suffered an ACL knee injury and will also miss the remainder of the season.
Frimpong will undergo surgery.
