Speaking after returning to team training for the first time since December 2021, Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka believes this was an important step towards his comeback.
“It went well and I enjoyed it. I’m obviously eager now to take the next steps. It’s a huge relief. I hope to come back stronger,” said Goretzka.
The 27-year-old has had persistent injury problems which saw his last appearance in the Bundesliga against Borussia Dortmund in December. Goretzka has played just 899 minutes of league football this season.
