Bayer Leverkusen have no intention to sell Moussa Diaby

Bayer Leverkusen plan on keeping 22-year-old French attacker Moussa Diaby beyond this summer, according to Kicker

Similar to comments made by managing director Fernando Carro last week in regards to Patrick Schick, the club are also keen on keeping the French international winger.

Rudi Völler from Bayer’s sports department explained: “There is no reason to give up one of our top players.”

With Champions League football now confirmed for next season, Bayer are in a good position to keep their top players whilst bolstering their squad.

However, Diaby has been heavily linked to a move to the Premier League. Should an English team offer around the club’s desired €75m transfer fee, Diaby could be on the move sooner than Bayer hoped.

It’s been a breakthrough season for the 22-year-old this year, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists in 31 Bundesliga matches.
