Bayer Leverkusen stress that Patrik Schick is not for sale this summer

Speaking to Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, Bayer Leverkusen’s managing director Fernando Carro has clarified that star striker Patrik Schick is not for sale this summer.

The Czech international is under contract with Bayer until 2025 with no exit clause put in place. This puts Bayer in a good position as they don’t necessarily have to sell or look to tie the forward down to another deal.

However, having scored 22 goals in 25 games this season, Schick has attracted the attention of other clubs including Bayern Munich.

Managing director Farro said to the newspaper: “Patrik Schick is immensely important to us. He feels good here. We want to keep him. He’s not for sale.”
