Bayer Leverkusen face competition to sign Manchester City’s Samuel Edozie

Bayer Leverkusen’s interest in Manchester City’s Samuel Edozie (19) has been known for some time but according to Kicker, a deal is nowhere near to being completed – it would cost the Bundesliga side around €6m to sign the English youth international.

Edozie, who has a contract until 2023, has interest from other clubs, per the report. But one factor that Bayer Leverkusen and the English winger have in common is a mutual interest. B04 can offer Edozie the prospect of playing time at the highest level, with B04 known to give their talented players minutes on the pitch.

Bayer Leverkusen plan to sell Paulinho (22, contract until 2023) and so would like to sign another winger this summer to provide competition for Adam Hložek, Amine Adli and Moussa Diaby – Karim Bellarabi also has an expiring contract, with one-year remaining on his current deal.

Other potential departures at Bayer Leverkusen include Joel Pohjanpalo and Iker Bravo, the latter has been linked with a return to Spain on loan, namely Atlético Madrid.
