Nottingham Forest closing in on deal for Orel Mangala from Stuttgart

According to Sky Germany, Stuttgart midfielder Orel Mangala is about to complete his move to Premier League side Nottingham Forest with all parties agreeing on the basic conditions of the deal.

Negotiations started on Friday but nothing is fully in place as of yet. Despite this, both parties are confident a deal will be finalised in the coming days. Nottingham Forest are expected to pay a fee over €15m for the Belgian.

Mangala has been at Stuttgart since 2017 and has a contract with the Bundesliga club until 2024. The 24-year-old also spent a season on loan at 2. Bundesliga side Hamburg.

The midlands-based club have been busy in the window since their promotion from the Championship in May. Should the deal go through, this will be Nottingham’s fourth Bundesliga signing this summer.

So far this transfer window, the newly-promoted Premier League side have signed Omar Richards from Bayern Munich, Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin, and Moussa Niakhaté from Mainz.
