Atlético Madrid show interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Iker Bravo (17)

Bayer Leverkusen are aware of interest from Atlético Madrid in Spanish forward Iker Bravo, according to Bild. The 17-year-old has struggled to settle in Germany following his move from Barcelona on a free transfer last summer.

Bravo scored four and created three in 12 games in the U19 Bundesliga West last season and also played 11 minutes for B04 in the Bundesliga and 13 in the DFB Pokal.

Unable to settle in Germany, per the report, Bayer Leverkusen and Atlético could reach an agreement for a one-year loan. B04 don’t want to lose the Spanish youth international completely after just one season but hope that a return to La Liga on loan would increase his playing time and boost Bravo’s morale.

Bayer Leverkusen have been incredibly quiet on transfer market this summer. Adam Hložek (20) arrived from Sparta Prague for €13m whilst Lucas Alario departed for fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt for €6m. Mitchell Weiser also departed on a free transfer to Werder Bremen.
