Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen, and Borussia Monchengladbach are all working on a loan move for Monaco left-back Ismaïl Jakobs, according to Sport Bild.
Monaco sees Jakobs as a player for the future which is why they are happy to see him move on loan. Jakobs has only started three out of 12 games this season for Monaco. Jakobs joined Monaco in 2021 from 1. FC Köln where he made 47 appearances for this hometown team but has failed to fully establish himself in the Principality since his move.
The 23-year-old has been in action at the World Cup and has impressed in the three games he has played so far, even providing an assist in Senegal’s 3-1 win against Qatar in their second match.
All three teams linked with Jakobs will see a benefit in the left-back joining them, both Frankfurt and Leverkusen lack a quality left-back while Gladbach may bring Jakobs in as an immediate replacement for Ramy Bensebaini with the Algerian set to leave Gladbach in the winter.
