According to Kicker, Hertha Berlin defender Omar Alderete is being monitored by Atlético Madrid, Villarreal, Valencia and others.
The 25-year-old centre-back spent last season on loan at Valencia with an option to buy for €7.5m. However, it’s reported that the Spanish club are unwilling to spend such a sum.
Despite this, Valencia may be interested in the Paraguayan international if the fee was a little bit lower.
This may be a struggle as other clubs are also showing an interest in the defender.
Those in question include fellow La Liga clubs Villarreal and Atlético Madrid as well as Italian outfit Fiorentina.
Alderete impressed last season, playing 29 times and scoring two goals as Valencia finished ninth.
All of this interest may prompt Hertha into a quick sell or even decide to keep him to use his talents for the upcoming season.
Alderete’s contract with the Old Lady doesn’t run expire until 2025.
