Schalke confirm that ten players will leave the club at the end of the season as sporting director Peter Knäbel uses their relegation to the 2. Bundesliga to undergo a period of change at the Royal Blues.
Benjamin Stambouli and Bastian Oczipka only have contracts for the Bundesliga whilst the contracts of Steven Skrzybski, Alessandro Schöpf, Shkodran Mustafi and Nabil Bentaleb will expire at the end of the season.
William (Wolfsburg), Goncalo Paciencia, Frederik Rönnow (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Kilian Ludewig (RB Salzburg) will all return to their parent clubs.
