Kicker report that Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are interested in deals for Mitchell Weiser (Bayer Leverkusen) and Niklas Dorsch (KAA Gent) with both players being discussed internally.
It’s unlikely that investor Lars Windhorst will spend as much on transfers this summer as he has in the previous 18 months (just over €100m) and so, Hertha BSC instead want to focus on signing affordable German speaking players.
Weiser played 85 games in all competitions under Pál Dárdai before joining Bayer Leverkusen where he’s played just 224 minutes of football this season.
Hertha also face competition from fellow Bundesliga side Wolfsburg to sign Dorsch.
