2. Bundesliga side have today confirmed the signing 21-year-old Spanish midfielder Rodrigo Zalazar from Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.
S04 have an option to purchase which is not dependent on the league that the Royal Blues are playing in next season, Zalazar would then join on a permanent basis until 2025/26.
“I’m very excited to be on the pitch with the team,” said Zalazar. “I got familiar with the 2. Bundesliga last season with St. Pauli and I know what’s needed in order to play successful football in this league. I want to bring that to the pitch as soon as possible and give the fans a taste.”
Zalazar joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Atlético Malagueño in 2019 before spending time on loan at Korona Kielce and St. Pauli.
