Premier League side Aston Villa today announced the signing of 23-year-old Jamaican winger Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported €32 million.
Bailey has signed a four-year contract until 2025 whilst B04 will receive a further €3m in performance related bonuses. He joins Villa after 4.5 years in Leverkusen.
“In Leverkusen, he turned from a talent into a top player at Leverkusen. We wish him every success in his future,” said B04 sporting director Simon Rolfes.
During his time at Bayer Leverkusen, Bailey played 156 games in all competitions, scoring 39 and creating 26 whilst his 2020/21 campaign was his best in the Bundesliga to date.
