Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed that 44-year-old head coach Marco Rose will leave the Bundesliga side at the end of the season for Borussia Dortmund.

Although no official statement through Borussia Dortmund’s media channels, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl confirmed that Rose will leave the club.

“We’ve held many talks on Marco’s future over the past few weeks,” said Eberl. “He has unfortunately decided to use the clause in his contract and would like to move to Borussia Dortmund in the summer.”

According to Sport1, Rose reached a verbal agreement with Borussia Dortmund last week and will sign a contract until 2024. The German also wants to take assistant coaches Rene Maric and Alexander Zickler with him to Borussia Dortmund.
