Bundesliga side FC Köln have announced the signing of 23-year-old midfielder Dejan Ljubicic from Rapid Wien on a four-year contract. The Austria international will join the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
“We are very pleased that we could convince Dejan to join Köln. He has been fantastic this season and has led Rapid Wien as captain at the age of 23. That naturally perks your interest. From the summer, he will strengthen us with his superb quality in defensive midfield,” said sporting director Horst Heldt.
Ljubicic has played 126 games in all competitions for Rapid, scoring eight and creating 10.
