Bundesliga side Mainz 05 have announced the signing of German youth international Anton Stach from Greuther Fürth for a reported €3.5 million.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has signed a three-year contract with Mainz with an option to extend by a further season.
“Anton is a young, very talented player who made it to the Bundesliga with his team last season and played a major role in their success with some good performances,” said head coach Bo Svensson.
Stach played 30 games in the 2. Bundesliga for Greuther Fürth last season, helping them finish runners-up behind Bochum and securing a place in this season’s Bundesliga.
