Premier League side Aston Villa announced on Saturday that they have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign 23-year-old winger Leon Bailey.
“Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Leon Bailey subject to the player completing a medical and finalising personal terms,” said a statement from Villa.
Bayer Leverkusen will receive a reported fee of €30m, which could increase to €35m through performance related bonuses.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa are offering Bailey a five-year contract.
The Jamaica international enjoyed his best spell last season, making 26 goals contributions in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen last season.
Bailey had been subject to interest from several European clubs whilst B04 are expected to reinvest a percentage of the fee received back into their attack.
