Max Eberl on Marco Rose’s successor: “I have a clear idea.”

Speaking to German broadcaster ZDF, Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl says they’re on a good path to finding a successor to Marco Rose.

“I have already started looking and have been working intensively on finding a new coach in the last three weeks,” said Eberl. “I have had very many and good conversations.

“I am on a good path. We lined up a number of candidates. We are already on the home stretch and with this focus of ours, I have a clear idea.”

Adi Hütter (Eintracht Frankfurt), Oliver Glasner (Wolfsburg), Jesse Marsch (RB Salzburg) and Gerardo Seoane (BSC Young Boys) have all been linked as Rose’s successor, who will coach Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Since the announcement, Borussia Mönchengladbach have lost six consecutive games in all competitions and are in danger of missing out on European football next season.

Die Fohlen suffered a 3-1 defeat at Augsburg on Friday evening and will travel to Budapest to face Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.
