Speaking to Bild, Borussia Dortmund’s head of licensed players’ department Sebastian Kehl has confirmed that Mats Hummels and Marco Reus should be fit for next weekend’s fixture.
“They were lucky that it’s not that bad,” said Kehl. “I assume that they will be able to return to training next week and play against FC Köln.”
Both Hummels and Reus were forced off with injuries during their 2-0 win against Hertha Berlin on Saturday evening.
Speaking on Thursday, interim head coach Edin Terzić confirmed that Manuel Akanji will also return to training whilst both Raphaël Guerreiro and Jadon Sancho are making progress.
