Marco Rose: “I won’t be taking any Gladbach players with me to Borussia Dortmund.”

Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach Marco Rose has reaffirmed his commitment to the Bundesliga side and that he won’t be taking any players with him to Borussia Dortmund following the announcement on Monday.

“Despite my move in the summer, 100 percent of my energy is in my work here,” said Rose. “There had been pressure growing, so I had to make a gut decision and the challenge in Dortmund is what appeals to me.

“I want to carry on here until the summer,” added the 44-year-old. “It wasn’t an easy decision to leave but I had to make it to calm the situation.

“I completely understand the fans’ disappointment. It was a personal decision but I have always given my best here and will continue to do so until the summer.

“I won’t be taking any Borussia Mönchengladbach players with me to Borussia Dortmund.”

Borussia Mönchengladbach confirmed on Monday that Rose will leave the club at the end of the season to join Borussia Dortmund as Lucien Favre’s successor.
