Jamal Musiala is in talks to sign contract a extension with Bayern Munich until 2025

Sky Germany report today that 17-year-old midfielder Jamal Musiala is in advanced talks to sign a contract extension with Bayern Munich until 2025, which he will sign on his 18th birthday in February.

“Our information is that everything has been negotiated,” said Sky Germany journalist Max Bielefeld. “There are still a few problems between everyone involved but we are optimistic that it will all be resolved by the end of February.”

The England youth international has played 328 minutes of Bundesliga football this season, scoring three goals and has also featured in the Champions League for the reigning champions.

In just a short period of time, Musiala has proved his importance to the Bayern Munich squad with three starts in the Bundesliga and an exceptional performance as the #8 in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid.

Speaking after Bayern’s 3-3 draw vs RB Leipzig, Hansi Flick said: “We didn’t have much control over the ball at the beginning of the game but that changed when Jamal came in. He is always making himself available and asking for the ball. What he’s showing for his 17 years of age is already very mature.”
