Hertha Berlin to sign Sami Khedira on a 6-month contract

According to Kicker, Hertha Berlin will today complete the signing of 33-year-old Sami Khedira from Juventus on a free transfer.

The 2014 World Cup winner flew to Berlin on Saturday and underwent a medical with Hertha BSC yesterday.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Khedira has agreed a contract until 2023 whilst Kicker suggest that the German midfielder has signed a 6-month contract.

Khedira returns to Germany after a 10.5-year absence after leaving VfB Stuttgart for Real Madrid in 2010 before joining Juventus in 2015.

Speaking to Sky90 on Sunday, Hertha Berlin CEO Carsten Schmidt praised Khedira as, “a great leader with a lot of experience.”
