Germany head coach Hansi Flick has a perfect start to his tenure in charge of the national team with seven wins from seven games, securing qualification for the 2022 World Cup.
Speaking after Germany’s 4-1 win against Armenia, Flick said: “We’ve reached our target of 27 points. The team play in a very happy way and they want to do well – that’s class. I’m very satisfied and I can only thank the lads.”
When asked whether Germany can beat the elite nations, Flick added: “We have a lot of quality in every position on the pitch, like Karim Adeyemi and Lukas Nmecha. We’ve also got world class players in many places.
“We can’t afford to hide ourselves away and I think we’ll be able to step up to stronger opposition. Our games have showed that we are back, both in our character and the way we play football.”
