A new contract for Wout Weghorst isn’t excluded

According to BILD, Wolfsburg still have hope that Wout Weghorst will remain at the Bundesliga club beyond the summer and that a contract extension isn’t excluded.

The Dutchman has a contract with Wolfsburg until 2023 but has attracted interest from Premier League clubs in the past.

Kicker reported earlier that the 29-year-old wants to take the next step in his career but a regular starter and Champions League football at Wolfsburg, a stay is possible.

Since joining Wolfsburg in 2018, Weghorst has scored 67 and created 22 in 133 games.
