Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick discussed the signing of 22-year-old RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
“This is part of the future. I’m interested in the here and now. I’m glad that we managed to get Dayot but our task is to perform and he has to do the same for RB Leipzig. As I know him, he’ll still give 100% for Leipzig.”
The Frenchman will join the club on a five-year contract in the summer after Bayern Munich activated Upamecano’s €42.5 million release clause.
