Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Köln & Heracles Almelo interested in Joshua Zirkzee (Bayern Munich)

Bundesliga duo Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Köln and Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo are interested in signing Bayern Munich forward Joshua Zirzkee, according to Kicker.

Per the report, the Dutchman has to do more before he earns a place in Bayern Munich’s starting XI, the main reason Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was signed in the summer – to provide backup for Robert Lewandowski.

Eintracht Frankfurt are searching for a replacement for Bas Dost, who joined Belgian side Club Brugge while Köln are looking to add firepower to their squad and to provide cover for the injured Sebastian Andersson and Anthony Modeste.

A loan could be conceivable but if Zirkzee was to leave Bayern Munich on a permanent deal in January, the Bundesliga champions would insert a buyback clause in the 19-year-old’s contract.

Zirkzee has played just 91 minutes of Bundesliga football across three games this season.
