Borussia Dortmund target Péter Gulácsi as Roman Bürki replacement

According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are hoping to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window and have already drawn up a list of three potential candidates.

André Onana (Ajax), Odysseas Vlachodimos (Benfica) and Péter Gulácsi from fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have attracted interest from BVB, who could potentially look to replace current No. 1 Roman Bürki in the summer.

Per the report, RB Leipzig stopper Gulácsi has a release clause that becomes active in the summer, reportedly around €10m – €15m, which was also confirmed by agent Hasan Cetinkaya in January: “I can confirm there is a clause in Peter’s contract and that it can be activated this summer. It’s very low, even in corona times,” he told Bild.

30-year-old Bürki has played 228 games in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund since joining the Bundesliga club from SC Freiburg in 2015. Despite signing a contract extension last summer, BVB are expected to replace Bürki this summer.
