Augsburg sack Heiko Herrlich & replace him with Markus Weinzierl

Bundesliga side Augsburg have sacked head coach Heiko Herrlich following poor performances and have replaced him with Markus Weinzierl, according to Kicker.

Sitting comfortably in mid-table, Augsburg have picked up just three wins from their last 13 Bundesliga games which has brought them into the relegation battle with three games remaining.

Augsburg will face Stuttgart, Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich in their final three games with the Bavarian club sitting four points above safety.
