Schalke’s Daniel Caligiuri: “It’s time to scratch, bite & fight!”

Speaking after Schalke’s 1-0 loss to Werder Bremen, Daniel Caligiuri admitted that teammate Jean-Clair Todibo was to blame for Werder Bremen’s goal but stresses he’s not the only one to blame.

“I don’t want to and I won’t attack Jean-Clair directly,” said Caligiuri. “Sure, he lost the ball and it led to the goal but last week someone else did that and the week before it was another person. We simply can’t allow that to happen to us.

“Now it’s time to scratch, bite and fight!” added Caligiuri.

The 32-year-old has played 24 Bundesliga games for Schalke this season, who now find themselves down in 10th and without a win in 11 Bundesliga games.
