FC Köln have announced the contract extension of 19-year-old defender Robert Voloder on a deal until 2023, with the option for a further season.
“Robert fits into our profile: he’s great on the ball, has a good left foot and in every training he’s been keen to learn. That makes him a player with great potential. We’re pleased that he’s going to make the step into professional football with us and we’ll continue with him on this path,” said head coach Markus Gisdol.
Voloder is the latest FC Köln youngster to be part of Gisdol’s matchday squad alongside Noah Katterbach (19), Ismail Jakobs (20) and Jan Thielmann (17).
