Werder Bremen have announced the signing of 20-year-old attacker Tahith Chong from Manchester United on a season-long loan.
“We’re delighted that Tahith has decided to join us,” said sporting director Frank Baumann. “He’s a talented youngster with real potential, who has already gained some experience at the highest level with Manchester United. Now he will have to get used to the Bundesliga and take the next step in his development with us.”
The Dutchman played six games in the Europa League for Manchester United and can operate in any attacking position. Despite what some reports in England may suggest, the signing of Chong does not have an impact on whether Milot Rashica will leave the club or not.
“I’m happy to be here,” said Chong. “I’m looking to pre-season training with the team. The move is a great opportunity for me to develop. I’m looking forward to next season.”
