Speaking in an interview with Bild, RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche expects 28-year-old midfielder Emil Forsberg to remain at the Bundesliga club despite courting interest for a transfer this summer.
“We’re fully counting on Emil to be here next season,” said Krösche.
“Emil is an excellent footballer and will definitely help us. Especially since we feel that we will have a game every three days in the coming season. He plays a big role in our planning.”
The Sweden international has played 22 Bundesliga games this season, scoring five and creating two.
