In an interview with Serbian newspaper Alo!, 24-year-old Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujić has revealed that he had talks with Borussia Mönchengladbach and one day imagines playing under Marco Rose.
“Borussia was a realistic option. Lazaro and Embolo raved about their coach [Marco] Rose. It didn’t happen because they didn’t sell the currently injured Zakaria. I believe that I will one day work with Rose.”
Werder Bremen made a late move for Grujić but were unable to agree a financial package with Premier League side Liverpool.
