RB Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann has slammed ‘schoolboy defending’ after his side miss a chance to go second in the Bundesliga.
“We have to learn at some point we can’t always fall behind,” said Nagelsmann. “They scored from a corner after some schoolboy defending and that made is difficult for us.
“We managed to even the score and we started well in the second-half but then we received an unnecessary red card. In the end, I’m happy we got a point but I wasn’t pleased with the performance at all.”
Marko Grujic gave Hertha Berlin the lead before Lukas Klostermann and Patrik Schick put RB Leipzig in the lead. Krzysztof Piatek scored a penalty eight minutes from time.
