Borussia Dortmund & RB Leipzig target Robin Koch (Freiburg)

Sport Bild report today that Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are interested in signing Freiburg defender Robin Koch in the summer.

The 23-year-old has just one-year remaining on his current deal and is likely to leave Freiburg in the coming window, admitting in March that he wants to take the next step in his career.

Per the report, Koch has been identified as a replacement for Dayot Upamecano (RB Leipzig) or Manuel Akanji (Borussia Dortmund), should either of the defenders leave their respective clubs.

Koch has become an integral part of Christian Streich’s Freiburg side, playing 29 games in all competitions this season.
