Bayern Munich will allow Javi Martínez to leave

Speaking to Abendzeitung, Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will not put any obstacles in the way if they receive a respectable offer for 31-year-old defender Javi Martínez.

“We know that he’d like to leave the club and if there’s a suitable offer, we would not put any obstacles in his way,” said Rummenigge.

“We wouldn’t put any obstacles in his way because he was always a good player and a reliable, serious person. We will always try to find a solution that suits the player.”

Martínez has one-year remaining on his current Bayern contract. Both Rennes and Athletic Club have shown an interest in signing the Spaniard, who joined Bayern Munich in 2012 for €40 million.
