Bayer Leverkusen failed to move Wendell on, Sead Kolašinac remains at Arsenal

According to Kicker, Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen were actively looking to sell 27-year-old left-back Wendell on deadline day, but failed in moving the Brazilian on.

As a result, Sead Kolašinac is now likely to remain at Arsenal with the German transfer window now closed. According to Will Unwin, B04 had also shown interest in signing 28-year-old Ajax left-back Nicolás Tagliafico but failed to reach an agreement.

Schalke were also interested in signing their former player, Kolašinac, but given their current financial situation, were unable to have the funding to finance a deal.

Hertha Berlin had shown interest during the past week in signing Wendell, but nothing came to fruition.
