Kicker report that Bayern Munich stopper Manuel Neuer wants to extend his contract with the Bundesliga champions but only when he knows who will be the coach next season.
Many had also suggested the arrival of Alexander Nübel would deter the 33-year-old in signing an extension, with his current deal expiring in 2021.
“The Nübel transfer is irrelevant for the decision about my contract extension,” said Neuer. “It is a decision by the club with regard to the next few years. Alex Nübel is a very good goalkeeper for the future.
“I always want to play. It is not my decision as a player but that of the coach. It will always be like this in the future.”
