Newly promoted Union Berlin have announced the signing of KRC Genk attacker Marcus Ingvartsen on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has scored eight goals for the Belgian club in 38 appearances in all competitions, garnering interest from city rivals Hertha BSC.
“I’m really looking forward to playing for Union in the future. The pictures from the promotion games were everywhere to see and very impressive. I want to assert myself here and contribute to playing a successful season in the Bundesliga with the team,” said Ingvartsen.
The Dane is Union’s fifth signing of the summer.
