Bayern Munich have announced the contract extension of Christian Früchtl for a further two years until June 2022.
“Christian is a true Bavarian boy and has grown up here in the club. We’re very pleased to have him. He’s shown continuous development and we want to continue that together. We’re certain he’s got a great career in front of him,” said sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić.
The 19-year-old was expected to join a Bundesliga club on loan last year but with Bayern Munich II earning promotion to the 3. Liga, Früchtl opted to remain as part of the Bayern setup.
